Epitaxial Laboratory Inc. is a small business specializing in semiconductors and related solid-state materials and devices with complete line facility of material growth, device fabrication, and packaging. We have been awarded more than 25 R&D contracts covering sensors, lasers, ultra-high efficiency solar cells, new materials and devices. Currently, we have been working toward commercializing monolithically integrated 2D NIR and MidIR imaging sensors with CMOS read-out-circuits.

We have, for the first time, demonstrated recently, monolithically integrated 2D NIR and MidIR imaging sensors with CMOS read-out circuits.

2D sensor span wavelength from ~0.4 micron to 12 microns. Currently, we are focusing on SWIR and MWIR spectrum. Beside DOD applications, these sensors are ideal for LIDAR for Automobiles industry allowing: (1) visibility near complete darkness;(2) eye safety and;(3) longer range. Other applications are video surveillance for commercial and residential buildings/houses allowing objector identification near complete darkness, potable spectrometer for chemical identification including explosives and hazards chemicals, industrial process monitoring, spectroscopy, etc.
